How Are Designs Developed?
The design of your property may be approached in several ways.
Services are tailored to match your needs and budget whether you
require consulting, master plans or complete construction drawings.
The level of services you will need should be proportional to the
investment you will be making. Site designs are developed using the
following approaches:
- Half-Day Consultation:
- The half-day consultation is essentially a brainstorming session and a
very efficient use of our time. We will walk the property and discuss
your needs and fill out a questionnaire. Next, I will spend some time
surveying the property and developing my thoughts. I will develop a
master plan "to scale" on overlay paper. Once we have a workable plan
I will "walk you through the property" and mark the plan with a paint
gun and flags.

- Conceptual Master Plan:
- Some properties may be too complex for a half-day consultation or the
owner may want a more elaborate plan. Master plans can be prepared on
any sheet size at any scale but the most cost effective is an 11"X 17"
format. This drawing is rendered and laminated.

- Planting Plans & Construction Drawings:
- Master plans are general in nature whereas construction drawings are
very specific. Construction drawings and planting plans spell out
every detail of the project so that a contractor can provide an
accurate bid.
